This is an older video but the guest covers everything so I have included it. Chinese companies with state backing have aggressively issued IPOs on the stock market, both locally and abroad. The real estate sector has seen phenomenal growth in construction projects. The main question on everybody’s lips — how sustainable is this? Will the bubble crash and if so how bad will it be? I don’t personally think it will crash because the state will not allow it to [!] but it’s a tough call especially when you consider the effect of foreign capital on top of local pressures.

“Right now China’s economy is definitely the strongest in the world. Also the market has recovered a good deal. Of course there is speculation that a lot of this may not be sustainable because of the stimulus money the Chinese government has been putting in and because of the big increase in bank lending. But what needs to be understood is that the other economies in Europe and the US has been putting in more money but it all has been going into the black holes of the banks, it has not been passed on to companies to increase lending [Absolutely].
The governments in the west have large deficits that are not sustainable, whereas in China the government is sitting on a lot of cash and they can afford the stimulus packages. We like the Renminbi, we also like exposure to the Chinese market as a way of getting Renminbi exposure considering that according to the IMF purchasing power statistics the RMB could rise about two times against other world currencies” [Amazing]
